Take hosts as a nix list, not only as a path to the JSON Every caller was writing `writeText "hosts.json" (builtins.toJSON ...)`, which is `checkedFor`'s business rather than theirs. It takes either now: a list is the usual thing, a path is for a repository that already has the file, and `builtins.isList` tells them apart. The example in the README loses its whole nixpkgs input as a result, since `writeText` was the only thing it wanted nixpkgs for.
