Ask for the password when a connection needs it

It was read while the arguments were, so a deployment asked for a password
before saying that the directory it records into was not there, and
panicked with a rust backtrace when there was no terminal to ask on.
Asked for on the first connection now, once however many follow, and a
missing one says so.
