Drop stack, trim the readme and the CI configuration

Nothing here is built with stack, so the resolver, the extra-deps and
the two places that mentioned them were describing a build nobody runs.

The readme was written as though the package were something to pick up
and use. It is not ready for that, so it says so and nothing else.
